Hi User!
To delete any file, head over to 'My Collections,' your central hub for all your certificates. Here, you can manage your repository efficiently.
Let's dive in and explore how you can delete specific certificates and versions effortlessly.
Step 1: Go to My Collections
Go to the "My Collection" page to select the certificate that you wish to delete.
Step 2: Select a Certificate
Select the certificate or its version that you wish to delete. Users can delete only the certificates that are created by them. Only Admins can permanently delete the certificates.
Step 3: Click on Ellipses Icon (3 vertical dots)
Step 4: Select Delete
Select the delete button to initiate the delete process.
Case 1: If the Certificate has a Child Certificate (version)
Step 1 - Mark/unmark the checkbox
If the certificate carries a version, a checkbox will appear to confirm whether you wish to delete the version as well.
Step 2 - Notification appears
On marking the checkbox, the version will also get deleted. A notification will be flashed in the dialog box.
On clicking delete, the selected certificate will be moved to the recycle bin.
Function 1: Version remains even if the file is deleted
When you unmark the dialog box, only the file (certificate) will be deleted. The version will still be present there.
Case 2: If the Certificate has no Child Certificate (version)
Step 1 - Confirmation for deleting the certificate
If the certificate carries no version, a checkbox will appear to confirm whether you wish to delete the certificate.
Step 5: Pop Up appears
A pop-up will appear that notifies that the deleted certificate has been moved to the recycle bin.
Presto Chango, your file is deleted.
